The Triangulum Galaxy is also known as the pinwheel galaxy. It is some 3 million light years from us and is the third largest galaxy in our local neighborhood. It consists of some 40 billion stars and it takes light 50,000 years to travel from one side of it to the other. In 2007 a black hole was found in the galaxy that is 16 times more massive than our sun but is no bigger than a city.
